I enjoyed this place! The draft root beer was so good and refreshing after a hot day of shopping!!! I had the corn dog nuggets and fries and it was all so good that we went back the next day and I had it again!!! The employees are nice and get your food out quickly, the dining area is kept clean, and it’s overall a great place to eat while shopping!!!
The food was good, pretty standard for an A&W so nothing new if you're familiar with their food! However, likely because they are in such a packed shopping center, they tend to be very high traffic and as a result the restaurant was not very clean and employees seemed burnt out on the front end. Basically if you like the food and are already shopping here it's a fine stop, but definitely better places to enjoy nearby.
Burger was disgusting with 2 quarter pieces of raw looking uncooked bacon on it. Didn't complain though. Fries and floats were good though. Won't return after seeing that bacon.
Ordered a single meal with fries and after a 30 minute wait they called our number and someone had stolen our food. They did not immediately reimburse us and not only that, but told us it'd be another 40 mins till we could get food. Manager refused to talk to us, and we had to go through a regular worker to get a refund. Would not recommend to ever go here.
If you go to this Tanger Mall, make sure to eat beforehand and don't settle for this A&W location. The prices are ridiculously high. $3.29 for a two bite size sandwich. The polar swirl is $5.49 for a regular which is barely a small at most fast food restaurants. And they wouldn't give a cup for water despite spending almost $26 for the two of us. Ridiculous. Don't go here.

It's a fast food restaurant although with the A&W theme. Food is really good, the root beer is fresh, claimed to be done in the restaurant and it really taste different from the can one, much more tasty, burgers are really big and the shakes are tremendous. It's a fast service and conveniently located inside Tanger outlet mall.
My son chose A&W as the place he wanted to spend his 21st birthday. We arrived at 6:30 pm. The ice cream machines had already been shut down, eliminating his root beer float. So we bought a frosted glass mug. We were then told due to sanitary reasons, it could not be filled. So, that eliminated his root beer!! I then asked to pay with a visa, I had the information on screen shot. She declined that, saying she didn't have the capabilities to use it. Very poor birthday experience period, let alone 21.
